    decarbing my 115

I have a '98 Johnson 115 Faststrike (2-cycle of course) Do you guys thing decarbing the engine with ringfree (or something) will improve performance on the top end. It idles fine, runs without sputtering. It hasn't had any maintenance in 3+ yrs and sat for two with only occassional cranking in the yard (not my fault, I just bought it). If you think it would help to decarb it what is the best and easiest method. I plan on doing the full workup closer to winter, but thought if this would help I would go ahead and do it. Is ringfree the best to use?

    Thanks,

    BW

    Re: decarbing my 115 (DHunter68)

Ring free is a good product, but if it were me, I'd get a complete decarb job done first. Running the ringfree will turn the stuff loose while running and may stick to the plugs. This is not a good thing on the water.
