Need help!!!!
I have a 2006 225 pro xs.. I changed spark plugs in the engine today and the #2 cylinder thread was somewhat hard to get out... Sure enough it had been cross threaded before. From my old farm based mechanics wisdom lol.. I grabbed a spark plug tap of right size covered it generously with anti-seize and chased the threads, cleaned tap , covered with anti-seize and chased again.. Reduced down a shop vac hose with PVC and then a rubber hose stuck through spark plug hole to try and suck out anything that did to stick to the tap. I replaced new plug and torqued to 20 ft lbs. new plug went in all the way. I have not rolled the engine over and after reading several threads on here I realize that I probably did not make a good decision on chasing the threads. I am just wondering what I should do? I want to think that it will be ok to run but I have waited so long to afford a boat like this and can,t afford to ruin the motor. Any help be much appreciated!,,

See response in your PM.
Strongly recommend that the CYLINDER HEAD be removed BEFORE starting the engine, so that you can confirm there are absolutely no filings present.
Not only can filings cause damage in the cylinder... they can ALSO become lodged in the direct injector.
