2006 225 opti constant alarm
Hi guys I have a 2006 opti that is acting up. At 3000 rpm the alarm comes on constant. Its not overheating and the oil tank is full, so im thinking oil resovoir sensor......Anything else i should be looking at and is there a way to bypass the sensor for testing purposes.

There are DOZENS of potential causes of an alarm/fault.
The fastest (and safest) method to determine the cause:
1. STOP running the engine- and assume that the warning horn is working PROPERLY (warning you of a critical problem that needs to be addressed), UNTIL, and UNLESS proven conclusively otherwise.
2. Get the engine on the Computer Diagnostic System for PRINTOUTS of:
-Run History
-Freeze Frame (Fault) History
-Fault Seconds Counters.
I'm always happy to review printouts (by email) if necessary.

That would be great if you could... but doesn't always help much (as often, the answer is in the DETAILS or data... which may need to be reviewed to get a "whole picture" of the situation).
