Is a HT Flywheel good choice for starter's

I have a Yamme 2000 175 vmax and would like to try something out slow. How much would a Ht Flywheel help? is there a big rpm change i no the hole shot should be better but i have a good hole shot already. Is there somthing else i can put on for starters with out buying a hole fhase kit? What is good for mid and top end? O Yea!! It's on a 2000 1950 super Hawk 24 fury GPS 64-65 5400 rpms.

Biggest bump up is the HT heads...must use 89 octane after that but they give the largest gain....I had a 2000 V-Max with the reeds-tuner-heads...that 200 HP ran with most all the 225s.

As far as I know its piece-by-piece as you wish.....ask Matt or Wayne W...at HT...just to be sure, that was 5 years ago.

Ok!! What i ment was do i have to change any thing to make the heads run ok or just buy the heads and put them on and run with stock jets and reeds? I know if you buy the kit then you gane some HP but is it worth just the heads. can i get 5-10 Hp gane or close. And thanks for your help also

THe heads are the best gain and will need to be re-jetted. We have High Perf Head kits now availble on http://www.hydrotecmarine.com in the Yamaha High perf section. If you just want 10hp maybe install our HT 6700CF carbon fiber reeds. no jets needed.
