Hpdi lower and a lightweight flywheel

I am running a zx225 skeeter with a 225efi with a phase II. I am running a 27 tempest+ at 5850 rpm at 75 to 76 mph. If I install a hpdi lower unit how much pitch change will I need? Also if I install a lightweight flywheel will I still need to make a prop change? I run 2 people, 4 batteries, dual console, loads of gear and mostly full of gas.

no need for the HPDI lower unit. You need to be running over 80 for it to benifit you. The water pickup on the OX66 does not get clogged with weeds as bad as the HPDI also. I would do the flywheel though.

Low water pickup on the PDI will help when raising the engine. Also I believe the PDI has a torque offset on the skeg as well as running a lower pitch prop with 1.75 gears will help with wheel torque. Chances are you'll need a prop change if your spinning 5850. A 26" Fury may be the ticket.

you will pick up some mph with the different gear ratio of 1.75 , you now have a 1.81 ratio , and you will also pick up mph b/c you will be able to raise it lot more , call me i have a brandnew one never been on a boat its a hpdi lu with the 1.75 ratio.
