Leaking 2 stroke oil

05 150 Vmax, carb motor

Motor is pouring oil out of overflow hose on the oil tank mounted on side of motor when the motor is running. Tank is filled to the very top with oil, is there a sensor of some kind that should monitor the oil level and not let it over fill like it is doing?..What should i check first on this?..Thanks>>

sounds like a bad float in the small reserve tank. not too expensive to fix.

People on here have claimed to "removed and cleaned" the sensor and it will work again. I don't know what they would have used to clean it with, but hey, give it a try.
