Guys I thought my 3.3 HPDI took a little over a quart for gearcase lube. I have changed it twice since I have owned it and I can only get a little less than a quart in it before it starting coming out the vent. I let it drain for 30-40 min both times. This time I drained it the lube was blueish color, which is what my dealer put in it last time. I don't know what brand but it wasn't Yamalube because yamalube is brown. Anyways I re-filled it with Yamalube, hope mixing doesnt hurt.

Well I am at the lake 100 mile from home right now, so I assume since while it was level it came out the vent hole I have enough lube in it?

It will be fine. You probably just had some old oil left inside when you refilled it.

I use merc which is bluish/greene and I think the old OMC was blue. Not sure about Yam or BRP, never used any of their oils.
My mechanic filled my LU with Merc Hi Perf lube. It is bluish-green..i know this b/c when I looked at my boat today, there was a puddle of oil on the concrete floor. They didnt tighten the top hole plug. Good thing the issue was visible and could be corrected in order to avoid disaster!
