    Yamaha Y.E.S. Warranty (sho)

The dealer sent me a card with warranty info on it. (the typical three years).
I purchased the motor while Yamaha was offering a promotional additional 3yrs for no charge.
Dealer said Yamaha would send me that info. And that this was basically the Y.E.S. warranty, just free.

It's been several months now, and nothing from Yamaha.

Anybody know how this works. Do I get something that tells I have an additional three years?
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

Yes...and you should have received it by now. Start with the dealer so he can contact his Yamaha rep.

    Re: Yamaha Y.E.S. Warranty (SkeeterDD22)

My brother bought a new boat last summer with a SHO 200 on it. He didn't get the Y.E.S warranty at that time. Today he downloaded the Yamaha app to his phone and when he tried to enter his warranty info it said not found. He called Yamaha and according to them the motor was never registered yet had received the same card. He is working with Yamaha and the dealer now to get this straightened out. So I would suggest to anyone who has bought any Yamaha motor that they verify it was indeed registered or not even if you have your warranty card.

Re: Yamaha Y.E.S. Warranty (The Arch)

It took about 2 months before I received my YES documentation. I think the promotion for the 3 additional years ran from Nov through Dec 2011. I was pleasantly surprised when my dealer told me I qualified for the additional coverage because I had waited to after Nov 1st to close the deal on my new boat. I was already prepared to pay for it. The dealer provided me with a printout from Yamaha right after the sale that showed I qualified. The promotion was called "Why wait...buy now 2011" on the printout.

Isn't the current deal 2 years additional?

I have a boat on order and am told it comes with 2 extra years warranty.

Not that I wouldn't want the +3 years, I will take all the extra I can get as I plan to run the snot out of that thing.

Current promo may be two years.
Mine was a few months ago, and it was three years.
    Not heard a word though.
I'll give my dealer a call.
    Thanks all!
