Here are a few tips that may help. Always prime the fuel bulb before the first start of the day. If the motor was sitting for few days, try turning the key on without cranking, wait couple of seconds and depress the throttle half way. This will buzz the injectors and purge any air that maybe trapped in the fuel rail. Release throttle, turn off key and then start the motor. This works very well on ox66 efi. Not sure about hpdi but it wont hurt anything to try.
