(1) Where in the world is the lower unit lube bolt located? I see the top bolt easily.
(2) My water pressure went down this weekend from a wide open 25 -28 psi to wide open at 14-15 psi. I did fish shallow but did not notice any clogged lower unit pickups. Is it difficult to replace impeller?
I bought the boat and don't have a manual is why I ask.
1 It;s hidden behind the water pickup screens, the stbd side has a hole where you use a 4mm (from memory) allen key to undo the cap screw. pop the screens out and there it is.
2 You most probably got some sand in the poppit valve. I fish shallow alot and have had to clean mine out 5 times in 2 years. Here is a link to a thread pinned at the top with pictures. http://www.bbcboards.net/zerothread?id=185398
It can be a bit fiddly, I just remove the housing carefully and re-use the gasket with some loctite 515. Small hands and a 1/4" drive socket set make this job a whole lot easier.
