    HELP.....Will a 1994 Pro V 150 Lower unit fit a 1991 Pro V 150 ???

    I have a friend with a 1991? Pro-V 150 TLRD 6J9L 352 841, that has a damaged lower unit. I have found a good unit from a 1994 Pro-V 150 LD 6J9L 350 268. Where do I find information on part numbers, schematics, etc.??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tim 870-208-3706

Part # 6J9-45301-01-NA is a lower unit assembly from the 91' Pro V
Part # 6J9-45300-14-NA is a lower unit assembly from the 94' Pro V

I'm not totally 100% that is gonna fit but I believe it should with part numbers being that close. Its possible that the part # has superceded to the one on the 94'.

A good website to look for parts/schematics is

As a mechanic I spend ALOT of time on the internet searching for new information. Most of the time you can get good info straight off the manufactures website. Yamaha's website http://www.yamaha-motor.com/ou....aspx is a good place to find part numbers and look at schematics but you can't order parts directly.

Like I said before I'm not quite 100% that its gonna be the right one but with part numbers being close to each other it is a good chance that the part number from the 91 was upgraded (superceded) to the part number for the 94. A quick call to a Yamaha dealer can confirm. I would do it for you but I'm not at the shop at the moment.

The guy that has the '94 lower unit says its a 150 LD, I cant locate the designation LD. the '91 is a TLRP which I did locate. All of the gears, bearings, etc cross over perfectly. Just the lower case itself has the difference in numbering. I would hate to spend my friends cash and something be odd..like counter rotating or shaft length.

The 150 LD is a ProV. I believe the TLRP is just a standard 150 Yamaha. Not sure of the differences between the two.
