Customer says idles good (but cold blooded), midrange okay, but will shut down when opened up.
Compression is good on all 4 (125psi)
Spark test cranking good
Plugs looked good
started okay, idles for awhile, then will miss and die, and very hard to start.
DVA check on stator charge coils, low speed (241dva Volts) 753 ohms, high speed (.4 dva Volts) 74 ohms, neither was shorted to ground.
The specs indicate a bad high speed charge coil, by dva but not ohms.
Have you seen this before on this type of system?
What would be another test?
What is the flywheel torque?
