    Update on the Tin Boat

The 24' Big Daddy/150 long shaft is doing 54 mph at 5500 rpm loaded w/gear. Motor is only up 1 hole, no jack plate. 19 pitch prop. This is from the customer, Told him we could improve on that , He's older so he says thats too much. Hoping to sell the next one with a 225 hp. Bet that'll get it going.

My bad!! It's a carbureted engine. We tried to get him to go E-tec but he didn't want to wait and he's not a fan of technology. I wish he would let me tinker with the setup more, say's he'll be lucky to run past 38 mph, But he is happy and that is what counts.

I have a 20 foot Sylvan deep vee open bow with a 99 Evinrude ficht 175 and a 20 in Raker the dry weight with motor is about 2000#. I am able to get 45 at 5500. How heavy is that 24 footer? What style boat is it?

Go to the Sea Ark website, Look up the Big Daddy. Should have all the info there , if not , let me know.

I went to seaark site and could not find Big Daddy. Is it a 2472 modified vee with the 15 degree hull?

It is the same hull. It's on the front cover of the catalog, order one on the website, apparently the site has no caught up to stock. They are fixing to come out with one called the" Big Mamma", this will be the lounge version of the boat. Large lounge seats, more for the relaxer than the fisherman.
