I have a 2006 200hp vmax made in 12-2005 which would make it a 2006 and the model number reflects this but when I went to get a fuel filter the shop had to look up a 2005 to get the right one.
This is kind of strange is their a reason for this or am I just going to have to bring in my parts from now on.

Right around that time they switched the drop in (Clear Bowl) filter to the 6p3. 6p3 will be marked on top of the housing. I think the change was made mid 06/07. Your MFG date fell prior to the change. I would think that is why they had to look back.
