Just picked up a multifunction gauge for my yamaha, its the tach not the speedo, it has the harness and wires on the back, can anyone tell me if this unit wires up under the dash or do i need some other sort of extension that runs down to and plugs directly to the motor somewhere.

Did you get the directions with it? I just put the multi function gages in my boat. They hooked up to the harness they were color matched wires.

Thanks guys, a buddy got them for me so i never got any instructions with them, but he told me tonight he knows how to install them and would do it for me.
