    Re: Yamaha Paint (BamaChamp198)

Here are both the color numbers that I have used to paint parts of my outboard.
DBC 34880 Bluish gray met this is a Toyota color.
DBC 37617 Carbon Schwarz Mica I think this is a BMW color.
The second one is the lower unit color.
Thses are base coat clear coat numbers. I think if you go to an automotive paint supply store they can use these numbers to mix up an acrylic enamel. They can put that in a spray can for you. You could use this if you only want to paint a small area like the skeg only.
If you want to paint the whole piece then you can use the numbers above and clear over it.
There is also a GM paint number that matches the lower unit very well I am not sure what it is but if you go this route you can buy a spray can of touch up paint at walmart. Do a search on this subject to find that GM number. I think its a dupli-color #501

That colorrite paint is a three part system. To me its expensive for what you get when you can do it another way

If you can find it, DupliColor GM505 -Blue Metallic is a really good match.
