Does the dealer that you purchased from have the bulk Yamaha 2M in stock, if so you can buy from him at a lower price than buying in the sealed containers. I buy my Yamaha 2M oil from my dealer at $18.00 per gallon but, I have to buy at least 5 gallons at a time. Fairly good price from what I've seen posted lately !!

Dealer where I buy Yamalube is around 26 or 27 per gallon, a few dollars less to buy a case (4 gal). Shop around 39.99 is way too much.

I buy 1-2 cases of Yamalube at a time and get an additional 10% off which brings the overall price down to about 29/gal

    Re: Oil choice.... (Coke)

I'm currently running YamaLube 2M in my 175 HPDI and Merc/QuickSilver Premium Plus in my Mercury 50.

With that being said, I'm also thinking about changing the Yamaha over to Merc Premium Plus just to keep up with only 1 brand of oil. Premium Plus is winning out for me only b/c it's so easy to find EVERYWHERE you go.

And $40/gal for YamaLube 2M is rediculious. The most it is around here is $30 for a sealed jug. IDK what bulk currently is.

    Re: Oil choice.... (wwc3)

I've been running Pennzoil synthetic blend in my OX66 for almost 5 years with no problems. I used to run YL and it made a mess. I had to decarb, change the plugs, and clean the O2 sensor 3 times a year. Now with the PZ, I do it once every spring and that's just for annual maintenance for peace of mind, it isn't needed. The PZ also hardly smokes at all, the YL kept the skeeters far, far away. I will never, ever run YL again.

I get the PZ at Advance Auto Parts for $15.99 a gallon after WM stopped carrying it for some reason.

PZ makes the synthetic blend that I'm using and a full synthetic. The full synthetic is $30 at WM.

    Re: Oil choice.... (slapshot)

Most dealer will have bulk (55 gal drums) to pump from. Depending on how much he sells it will be from 20.00 to 25.00 per gal if you bring your on jug.
