To start, I've had NO problems with fouled plugs.
My question is. When I took mine in for the 10 hour check, I asked the tech if he adjusted the oil rate since the break in period was over. I was told the computer does the adjustment at the 10 hour mark. True or False.

i was at pickwick this year fishing flw american fishing series and my friend blew his motor. well, to make a long story short, i asked the question that you seek an answer for. the yamaha tech said that the only way that a yamaha gets extra oil is by removing the oil linkage rod, which puts the pump wide open. there is no provision in the electronics to meter the oil, which makes sense, otherwise why would the motor even need the linkage!
mercs computer adj. the oil yami dont. it ia a mechanical oil pump which has to be manually adj. 28:1 is about as good as it gets
