    1993 200 XP

I have a 1993 200 XP bolted on a 1993 Stratos 201. I am running a hydralic plate with a 25 OMC Renegade. At WOT , I am running 68.8 (gps) turning 6200 to 6300 rpm's`!!!!! I have moved the plate up and down and all around, it really doesn't make a whole lot of difference. I find myself trimming down or backing off to keep the R's down. I had the prop recupped last fall , and the boat is getting a good bite. Someone told me to try a 27 pitch, but others said that motor would not turn that big of prop!!?? Any suggestions??????

Set the HOOK!!! They ain\'t got pockets!!!

The prop calculator says 13% slip. Not bad but not great. What is the prop to pad distance when you are maxxed out ? Also, how big a rooster tail does it throw.
You do NOT want that 200 spinning 6300 rpm. I run a 26 raker that has been worked and can turn 6200 in the cold weather. It's going in for a little more work. If you can get your hands on a 27 try it.
