Raymarine supports NMEA 2000 Engine Data Application

I noticed that Raymarine has updated firmware for the C and E series displayes and it has the below:

# Engine Data Application enhancements:

* Fully configurable engine data display
* J1939 and NMEA 2000 engine data support
* Support for triple engine monitoring

Does the above mean that you can connect the E-TEC to the Raymarine now to get the info like the Lowrance offers?

You bet , and it has the best looking contour, graphs, etc. but the price is about double the price of lowrance lcx11chd, on raymarines comparable unit, and their unit is much taller . I had space issues so I went with lowrance

Thanks for the info Mako. I've already got the C80 installed.

Now I brings up another question, can I connect my '04 225 DIs to it? Please tell me it's possible.

I don't think so but you can check by looking on side of motor for plug in, or you could just go purchase brand new motor
