I'm just wondering the differences in these motors, the vmax HPDI vs the EFI motor. Whats the difference as far as reliability, fuel consumption, oil consumption etc. Thanks in advance.![]()

The OX66 EFI is a notch up when talking about fuel efficiency compared to a carb motor. The HPDI is a notch up from the EFI. Running any of them at WOT burn about the same amount per hour HP to HP. You have to burn gas to make HP. Idling and low rpms is where the savings comes in to play.

To add to what Mike said'
HPDI will burn more oil then the efi
The efi will be more reliable then the HPDI
More maintenance for the HPDI also
If you have a choice go with the efi or SHO, I would stay away from the HPDI's
JMHO...
