My oil tank cap leaks a little bit. I usually fill to the top line each time out, which is a good inch from the bottom of the cap. I usually see some oil leaking around the threads and the cap is very tight. What gives?

leaks some through the vent when the oil sloshes around. Mine does this also.

Same here. I've never had one that didnt' leak a little. I just don't fill it up all the way.

The tank on my last boat leaked as you describe. The tank I have now doesnt.
