Check you fuel tank selector switch and make sure it is not on a close line. Most of them have 2 for fuel tanks and 2 are off and will not work at all. Don't ask how I know this. You have run out of fuel some where along the line from motor to tank.

You have a manual switch somewhere you have to move to change tanks. The digital dash button just changes what tank the gage is reading (Sending Unit). On my 08 Z22 the manual switch is right by my right elbow and it has Tank 1 and Tank 2 and some other reading I can't remember. But Tank 1 is Right fuel Tank and Tank 2 is the Left fuel tank. You didn't say what Ranger you have, but it has a manual switch you will have to move to get gas to the motor.

probably not at 2500 rpms. If it had been wide open, there is a chance. Your motor is fine.

No harm done, but I wouldn't be running a tank dry very often. After a while with the dirty gas we have, you will be sucking dirt and god knows what else up into your filters and motor from the bottom of the gas tanks. Glad I could help.

The switch with the Rec. Empty and Auto on it is your livewell control knob.
