    2007 V150LTR

I am looking at a boat that has a 2007 Yamaha VMax 150. It is a 2 stroke carbureted engine. I am looking for some info from any of you guys that might have any experience with this engine. It is my only questioning point on this boat and I am trying to research it a little before I decide on the purchase. Thanks for your input.

I have an 06 150 carb. No trouble at all. They are pretty much bullet proof. Good reliable motors, but they love the gas. Oil usage isn't bad.

Got the same motor on my 99 zx which I bought new. Can tell you I've never had a problem ever in 11 years. Runs stronger today than when it was new.

Good strong motors. I think my 95' ProV 175 which is pretty much the same thing is 15 years old and still going strong n i'm the 3rd owner!! Just keep it between 3000 to 4000 rpms (depending on setup) n it won't suck the gas as bad.

Re: 2007 V150LTR (The Next KVD)

I ran a 2003 150 (same motor) and never had any problems out of it. As someone above said "cold natured". On a cold morning you might have to play with the choke a little until the motor warms up, after that it will run perfect all day long. I wouldnt hesitate to buy one.

Thanks guys, it sounds like this is a pretty reliable engine. I appreciate the feedback, and "Happy Motoring".
