2004 150 vmax carb- Hard to start after long run?

I had a problem last week with my 04 Yamaha 150 vmax carb. Had my kid and friends out skiing and tubing last week, stop for about one hour to swim. Yamaha was hard to start after 2 or 3 mins it did fire up but smoke just poured out, kind of like when you start it first time of the year. It did the same thing on me back in march, long run sit for hour hard to start smoke like a crazy.. The rest of time starts and runs great. Motor was trimmed down both times this happend. This also is a high hour motor 200 - 300 hours est... Running ring free and marine stabil each tank.... Any help...Thanks

next time check your primer bulb to see if it staying tight, you may have an air leak. If the bulb is soft and you pump it up and it cranks, then there you go.
