After idling for along time with motor trimmed up and lower motor to go,motor boggs down like no gas, go back bubble is not tight, pump it up tight it runs fine,no problem.This is a 2008 225HPDI have changed my water seperator filter have not had any other problems but this.The motor never did this before what could it be ?

make sure everything is tight... it could be sucking air
Have the same issue.Changed the primer bulb thought the problem was solved but just got on the water and had the same problem .What would a fuel pump replacement cost?
The fuel pumps are about $43.00 each, and the gaskets are around $2.00. You can change them yourself. the fuel pumps are held on by 2 5mm hex head bolts. to get to the top pump, you have to move the vaper seperator out of the way.
Don't overtighten the fuel pumps because they can leak.
