    Trim Help

I went out to go fishing this morning. I went to rase the motor 250 HPDI and the trim wasn't working. I tried the switch on the motor and the two trim switchs in the driver area. None would work. But when I would press the trim button on the motor, I could hear a tick noise ( it would only tick once, every time you pressed the button)comming from under the croweling. Any Idea what it could be. And how hard is this to fix.

    Jack plate work fine.

    Thank,

    Clay

    Re: Trim Help (claye75)

I'm very new to Yamaha....2 weeks new to be exact. But on the Johnson i currently owned my tilt/trim wasnt working. It started as only the down would work. For the Johnson is was relays that controlled the up/down movement. I replaced the faulty one and later the other went out so i replaced it too. About $15 apiece. Like i said, i'm new to Yamaha so i dont know if these work the same way.
