Should a V-max TRP have a trim tab?

Just reading another post under general topics and it triggered this question.
I have a V-max trp with the counter rotating props and it has never had a trim tab since I have owned it, I am the 2nd owner.
Does anyone know if the trp 's originally had them?
Also does anyone else that has had one, ever notice the whining on sharp turns?
I assume it is associated with water and the extra low intake on the front of the lower unit, is it struggling to get water when it whines, and if so is this bad for the engine?

The TRP's never had a trim tab. With little to no torque you don't need one. I have never had any whining out of mine so I can't help you on that.
