Oh man! What a thrill...from having my partner tell me the motor wasn't running when it actually was, to the low idle, the low fuel consumption, the impressive midrange, and the undeniable growl this motor makes, I'm happy with it.![]()
It was awesome to have a motor where the first start of the morning occurs about 1 revolution after you hit the key. The motor very quickly settled into a sewing maching smooth 500rpm idle. We ran all day in tournament conditions on 10gals of fuel. It did suck some oil down, about 1-1.5" on the side of the reservoir, I'm sure that will stop when the computer decides it's time. It was so neat cruising into the marina first in line for weigh-in in front of all the people watching, and having that Etec idling along, all the other boats were having to keep kicking into neutral to keep in line...![]()
