    what gear ratio?

I need to know my gear ratio for my 2001 Yam. HPDI 150 (VZ150TLRZ). I believe this is a 2.6 litre engine correct? I know my shaft is 20 inches (no pun). I believe my only gear ratio choices are 1.86 and 2.00....any ideas?

2 revs of the motor to 1 rev of the prop.

So at 6000 rpms your prop is turning 3000 rpms. So if you had a 23p prop your boat would be traveling at 65.34 mph with zero prop slip.....but that just doesn't happen.

OK, so it must be 6000 rpms X2 is 12,000 revs on a 23P and slipping 95%

Uhhh, maybe we can get Mark to put a little cup in the tips of the prop.....that should bring it down to 75-80%
