    Water leak....With pic

Hey guys, got my boat out today and fired it up, I have water coming out of 3 pissers, well 1 pisser and 2 drain holes. Looks like the big seal around bottom cowling is leaking. I searched about this and some said this is normal, other thought it should be fixed. Looking for advice, im working on it right now.

Heres where the leak is coming from. The picture is hard to see, This picture is from the prop side of the motor. Its leaking where the block goes through the bottom cowling, it is leaking on both rear corners. The water comes from below and into the cowling. Thanks for the help guys, i dont know if this is dangerous or not.

You must have Spring fever bad, I see white stuff in the background. I have had some outboards do that in the past. When you can get on soft water run it and see if your psi is good.

Power head gasket? Look and see if it's coming out of the front bottom of the engine also. I know of at least four of those gaskets that have gone bad.

This has happened to my engine a couple times in ten years of use.The post above about power head gasket is right. If you are able its not a bad job to do there are several gaskets that need to be replaced in that area when it happens. Its time for a hydro tec tuner because you will be right there when you do it.

Thanks Hooken, I already have the tuner, phase 11 kit. Do you have any idea what this would cost to get fixed? Its strange, i replaced the water pump last october, put the water to her and she was fine and put away for the winter. Now i have water going everywhere. I have some mechanical ability, like doing the water pump myself, I wouldnt know where to start pulling the powerhead.

It only takes about 45min or less to pull the powerhead to replace that gasket and another 45min to put it all back together .You could do it yourself if you had a forklift or a means of raising the powerhead but I am sure a shop would hit you pretty hard for for getting that done,I'd say $250-$350 including parts.
