Ethanol Question

I've got a 300 HP Yamaha that is a 2004 model. Would it have the fuel/water separator filter that is needed for Ethanol retaining water problems?

Look in the bilge area that were they are usualy mounted, if you do not have one,, GET ONE. and use stabel marine formula with every fill up, also try to keep the tanks all the way filled up.

Got the same engine in '05. Guess I need to check to see if I have one as well. I use stabil every tank, but I haven't seen the filter.

There wasn't one on my 05.. but i think they started putting them on as standard in 07-08 or something like that..
