    Yamaha Cowling

I had another post on here about a blown powerhead on a 2005 yamaha 225 hpdi. When the motor blew up it put a BIG dent in the cowling and was surprised it didn't go all the way through, but either way the paint is going to start coming off. If Yamaha covers the motor under warranty, do you think they will cover the cowling too? I am not sure if that can be fixed or it has to be replaced(which would be better for me). Any of yall dealt with this issue?

    Thanks
    Nathan

Man that engine really did blow up. I would press them for a new cowling. If the failure is covered under warranty then logic dictates that they should take care of the cowling as well. Let us know how they handle this.

I had a Mercury blow that took out the cowling and Mercury replaced it under warranty.
