I couldnt find a specific directions for fogging so I thought I would post.
I have a 2008 200HPDI that I want to fogg. How do I go about doing this?
The dealer sold me a can of fogging fluid that has a fitting.
Can anyone help?

To fog my 225 HPDI i remove the spark plugs and spray for 15 seconds into each cylinder. Be careful the plastic straw doesn't blow out into the cylinder as that'd suck !![]()
Replace the plugs then turn over the motor with the kill switch off so it doesn't start... and you're good till spring. In sprink i'll start the engine THEN replace with the new set of plugs.

Thats what I did this year also. I read that its not good to spray the fogging oil into the air intake with a fuel injected engine. It could mess up the injectors.
So what do I do? fogg or not to fogg? The manual says pull the spark plugs and dump engine oil in each cylinder. But some guys fogg. I dont get it.
Pull the plugs as i described above and you'll be fine.

So after you have put oil in each cylinder, you crank the engine with the kill switch removed, right? Are the plugs in or out when cranking?
You'll need to read this.

Remove plugs, spray fogging oil into each cylinder for 15 seconds, replace plugs, crank engine with kill switch off.
All you're doing is distributing the oil while cranking.. you're not starting the engine.
Again don't lose the straw off the end of the spray nozel.. i heard of someone doing that and it wasn't good at all.

If I crank the engine with the kill switch do all cylinders cycle or do just two of the cylinders cycle?

I just take the straw off to avoid that nightmare. The can I use has a pretty decent stream without the straw. I did exactly how you described per the Yamaha manual - no fogging the throttle bodies.![]()

All cylinders will cycle.
I have the 225 HPDI, and I just followed the instructions in the owners manual. Use stablizer in the fuel as noted above....
