How do you check to know if you are getting WOT on the motor. It looks like there is a TPS that controls the throttle body position. ????

What are you running at? If it'll get to or near 6000 or so, that's WOT. That's where mine's at, and where my local Yamaha tech (via my mechanic) told me to have it.
Is that what you're asking?

No that is not what I am asking. I want to know what opens and closes the butterfly in the throttle body is it a cable or a TPS electric connection. I was wanting to make sure that the butterfly is wide open at full throttle position on the binnacle control. I want to look at the butterfly and verify that it is wide open. My motor runs at full throttle about 5800 to 6000 RPM depending on the jack plate position and the trim on the motor. I want to know if the butterfly is vertical in the throttle body at WOT.
Ah, kinda figured it was something else, but how it read, I thought you just wanted to know if it's running WOT or not. But now that it's clarified, maybe someone can answer it. I've got the same motor, but only have 45 hrs on it, and haven't messed with anything on it yet.
