Yamaha F300 Fuel Consumption

ANyone have any reviews / docs talking about fuel consumption for the F300outboard engine?

Depends greatly on the boat it's on and how fast you want to go. http://www.yamaha-motors.com has performance bulletins for a lot of boat/motor combo's that list mileage numbers are various RPM's.

The fuel consumption with my F225 on my Skeeter has been phenomenally good, even at full throttle. I could not be happier with it.

ok you have any details for me, at full throttle,,, criusing speed etc, just how much are you using ?

I haven't heard anything on the F300 yet. I know our F250's at work burn around 22 gph +/- at WOT. I would expect something slightly higher than that, maybe 25 or so depending on the boat and prop.

Agreed. I can't believe how amazing my F225 Sport's fuel economy is, and I likewise run it fast and it still seems to sip.

The performance bulletin on my combo seems to be about right. If anything, it's conservative as my mileage generally seems better than what they list. And my top speed is about 3mph faster than what they list, GPS verified.
