Sounds like a fuel problem. Either fuel filters or fuel pumps.

Re: 250 ox66 fallin on its face (chipper)

Mine is worse in hot weather to do the same. Less likely when I tuck the motor fully down at takeoff than if slightly trimmed up. I adjusted the TPS back in the winter and it ran great, but has again begun bogging at takeoff in the hot weather. Sometimes 1/2 throttle is faster to plane than full throttle. Anybody got a handle on this?

Half throttle is the way to plane. It has to do with the vent holes in your prop. The fuel pumps only last three years of tourney use replace them and check all filters.

mine turned out to be fuel pumps and an inline fuel check valve fairly simple to fix they just removed check valve per yamaha's recomendation

I am surprised they did not replace the check valve I would think that's why these motors start up the fastest. I am happy you solved your problem.

VST tank is why they don't need to be primed much (or at all)

If you think ox66 starts fast try an E-TEC. Can't get your finger off the key and it is started
