Fuel Problems with 03 200 VMAX

Im having some issues with my motor not wanting to idle and cutting out all the way through the RPM guage. Brand new fuel filter less then 5 hours ago. Just had the dealer install the 10 micron filter and just replaced the primer bulb. I checked the see through fuel filter and there doesnt seem to be any trash in there. I run ring free and marine formula stabil with every fill up. The other day the motor completely died at 55 mph. Last time we had it out it cut out so bad we had to winch it on the trailer. I dint know if this has anything to do with my problem but this didnt start until the dealer installed the 10 micron filter. This motor has less than 35 hours on it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. One more thing I forgot about, the primer bulb will not fill up and stay firm like it used to.

I'd check the plumbing for the fuel line. Sounds like a loose connection or an air leak somewhere. Motors run rough for a lot of reasons, but your bulb not staying firm and this starting with the filter install (and associated splicing and reconnecting of fuel lines) are likely at fault.

replace the 3 manual fuel pumps , sounds like a hole in a diaghragm in one of them , you can get all 3 complete for around $125 at boats.net
