    Changing oil in new boat

i bought this 02 vmax 200 about a month ago. when i bought it, it had a half tank of oil. it has about a quarter remaing. i have no idea what type of oil was used before but i use quicksilver premiumplus. is it ok to just add oil on top of what is already there?

I run Yamalube in my boat and don't see where just topping off your oil with new would hurt anything.

I think you'll be fine. TCW III is suppose to be able to mix with other brands of oil.

I use semi synthetic penzoil. I'm sure my crossflow has had everything from quicksilver to 30 weight ran through it at some point. My buddy who pitched in on gas and oil brought some wallyworld blue jug trying to do his part and poured that !@#$ in there before I could stop him. I run VRO. It smokes more but goes through oil so fast it'll all be ran out by tomorrow anyway. Put what ever you intend to use in it and fuhgitaboutit.

I'd get as much out as I could, fill it up and run it for awhile
