    Prop shaft Grease Zerk

Dumb question for you guys? How much grease do you pump in to the zerk at the prop shaft? I have given it a couple of small pumps to make sure it is lubed but I got to thinking maybe it needs more or less.

    Thanks

When I grease anything on mine, I always just do two pumps. Well, it's more like a good one and a half.

Where is this zerk fitting at? I can't recall seeing one around my prop shaft.

It is located under the prop. If you pull your prop you can see it easy. With the prop on you can barely see it of the left side, if your standing so that your looking at the back of the motor.

Grease fitting for the prop shaft? I'm confused.

Pull prop, grease shaft, reinstall prop. Why would there be a grease fitting? Maybe I'm missing something here. If I am, please let me know. I've never seen a grease fitting next to the prop shaft on my 150 proV.

Re: Prop shaft Grease Zerk (headhigh)

I am not sure if the Pro V has one. I found mine when changing out props. I did some surfing and it is in fact a grease zerk. I got one and a half pumps in it then it stoped taking grease. I assume it lubes the prop shaft bearings.
