Got a new boat with a 05 Yamaha 250 HPDI, what do I need to know about it?

I traded my old boat for a new one and it has a 2005 yamaha 250 HPDI on it. What do I need to know about this motor? Any major issues? Thinks to watch for or special care for it?

Keep a 10 micron fuel/water separator on it, either a Yamaha or a Racor. Keep your on-engine fuel filters clean. They're great motors but are finicky with dirt and water.

Are you a muskie guy too, or do you just have a muskie boat?

Believe it or not, i'm a die hard bass tourney guy..lol. I just love fishing the big lake (lake michigan) and also with 3 kids, the bass boat wasn't working too well. I like a versatile boat, and this one fit me perfect.

Put ringfree or seafoam in every time you put gas in it

You'll need to pay lots of attention to the price of gas.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........
