Just steped up from a 05 150 carb Vmax to a 08 250 HPDI SeriesII Vmax. What oil should I use and what else do I need to add to my gas/do to my motor to make sure my motor lives a long happy life?
Just steped up from a 05 150 carb Vmax to a 08 250 HPDI SeriesII Vmax. What oil should I use and what else do I need to add to my gas/do to my motor to make sure my motor lives a long happy life?
Yamalube 2M (Semi-Synthetic) or some prefer to use a Full synthetic.
Everyone seems to have an opinion on what is best to use. Most of the other recommendations i can't buy where i live so i stick to YamaLube.
To your gas add Ring-Free at 1oz per 10 Gallons OR Seafoam at 1oz per Gallon.
Don't forget to change ALL of your filters at least once a year. It would be a good idea to add a fuel/water seperator if you don't have one too.
