    Too much water pressure

The other day while running at 5600 RPM for about 10 miles The engine alarm sounded and engine lost power. I checked oil level, was ok. My water pressure was almost 30 psi but I don't have a water temp gauge. Is the pressure too high at high rpm and could that cause the alarm to go on?? 2005 HPDI 225.. Thanks
