06 250 hpdi hard to start

I have an 06 250 with around 104 hrs total and 20 hrs or so on a new power head. It has become extremely hard to start when first cranking up but never fails after that and runs like a top. Any suggestions before I take it back to the shop ? The plugs and filters were recently changed and the primer bulb pumps up tight. Thks

I was gonna say prime it tight but you do that already. Mine used to be hard to start and realized it liked to be primed daily even overnight. Out of habit now after putting plug in I reach in and prime it up tight, starts like a champ after that with no problems.

When mine wants to be fickle, I give it a little gas and she lights right off. Usually happens in really cold weather. I have learned that I have to pump my bulb really hard if it hasn't been run in a while, but only the first start of the day.

Right on my vmax will have trbl starting when cold. The first start I normally give it some throtle and it starts right up. The bulb must be tight or forget about it.

Guess different motors are different for each. I never have to pump my bulb. Just turn the key and vroomm....no matter if the temp is 90 or 20....

I never pump the bulb on my vz250 but I noticed that if I only trim it down till it hits the short rams it starts easier.any body else try this?

Could be an adjustment problem.I would take back to the place that did the Work on it and let them check it out.

Headed there tomorrow. It actually smells like its flooding itself when trying to start it for the first time of the day without giving it any gas but nothing visible . Something is definitely wrong somewhere. thks
