    Vmax 150 Trim Problem

Recently my remote throttle trim switch has been intermittent in the trim “up” position and now it has quit working in the "up" position. The “down” position works well on the throttle and the bow switch (if the trim “up” does not work on the throttle it will not work on the bow switch). The switch on the motor works “up” and “down” with no problems. I have taken the throttle switch off and found power to the green wire (down) and no power on the blue wire (up). Does this indicate a faulty trim sender switch at the motor? The relays are working properly.

I think you have a wiring problem. Check the blue wire at different places to see if there's power. Isolate where the problem is (like between the engine and the throttle), then look for the cause.

Re: Vmax 150 Trim Problem (BuzzB8)

Thanks Buzzb8 for your answer. Last night while trying to trace the problem I notice every time I turned the steering wheel to the right the tilt would quit working and when turning the wheel to the left it would work. Traced the problem to a crimped wire in the harness going into the lower motor cowling.
