Should I get YES for 150 yahama carb?
Should I get YES for 150 yahama carb?
they have free extended warranty now
take the money and put it in the bank. if the motor breaks use the money to fix it. more than likely in 3 more years you will still have all the money. that motor wont break easily.

go to yami's web page
they also have no payment no intrest until 2010
announced today!
I would buy it .You can make some good deals on Yamaha Yes through dealers right now.Shop around before you buy. Also might make a buyer or trade in worth more if there is some warranty left on motor. If I was looking at two used boats that were the same one had warranty one did not.Just something to think about.Good Luck

I agree with Mike. I have had the yes on my last three Yammi's and only had to use it once. One thing that might help you is get a price including labor on a new power head or lower unit for that engine![]()
I will say, that you are probably looking at one of the most bullet proof outboards (150 VMax carb) that ANY outboard manufacturer EVER built.
Run quaility oil in her ( preferably 100% synthetic after breakin), and add Seafoam to EVERY gallon of gas ya use in her, and she last a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time!![]()
If buying new, I would get what warranty comes with it (and like above post says, there may be a "free" incentive program going on right now) and not purchase any extended. Spend that Xtra money on equipment for the boat!![]()
Would send an IM but my work computer won't let me. Are you buying just the motor or a boat with it on?
I already on the boat and motor. I went ahead and got the warranty mainly because my previous motor that was an hpdi blew a hole in the block. i was able to get a good price much lower than the Yamaha quote. Thanks for all the input
