New 2008 150HP HPDI ?????

I just purchased a new Skeeter SX190 with a 150hp yamaha hpdi. I have never owned a Yamaha but have heard good things about it. What things do I need to do to insure a long and healthy engine life? What does every one do to maintain their Yamaha engines? Thanks....

First, it is absolutely critical to follow the break-in exactly as described in the Owner's Manual. Otherwise, it's the same as any other engine (winterize, fresh fuel, plugs, LU oil, etc.).

That is an awesome motor. I had a 150HPDI, earlier model that I put 190 hours on in one year with no issues. Just keep up on the items that were suggested here and enjoy!

Ringfree and Marine Stabil in every tank from day one and you'll do fine. Make sure you change that lower unit oil a couple times a year also.
