My '02 VMAX 225 is still surging when getting on plane. I've tried all that has been suggested. When I idle for 5 min. before taking off all is fine. No surging. Anyone have a diagnoses?

???? Maybe the fuel is draining back down and taking a while to build good pressure again. Try pumping the primer bulb a couple times when you start up to run to a new spot on the lake. The primer bulb itself could be the problem or maybe fuel pumps. I had the same problem a while back with my 150proV and I went ahead and changed the primer bulb and the fuel pumps since it was all original and 18 years old and that fixed the problem for me.
