Tilt Trim Fluid Milky No Water

1995 Yamaha 200 Pro V Tilt Trim Fluid is Milky and does not appear to have water in it. I have tried flushing the old fluid out with new quicksilver fluid (almost 50 ozs.) has been put into the reservoir and cycled through by up and down movements of the tilt trim. Since there is not a drain I have pumped the old fluid out of the reservoir each time before refilling. Since the fluid will not clear up I can only assume there is an air leak. I have not noticed any leaks and the tilt trim works very well. I have only owned this boat for 2 months so do not know any history. When I first checked the tt fluid it made a sucking noise when I opened the reservoir cap leading me to believe it was low, since then it has been full and will discharge a milky white bubbly fluid when opened. The seals always appear to be dry and there are not any signs of leaks on any other TT joints. I have verified the manual release is not partially activated as well. Has anyone else had this problem or know what I need to do to fix this situation.

Re: Tilt Trim Fluid Milky No Water (Go Devil)

Maybe long ago, someone else mixed some type of fluid into the system causing the milkyness, like a different color of tranny fluid. If everything works and you don't see a leak, just use it until it goes. I hate to say that, but the only other choice would be to tear it down and clean out the entire system.
