    hydraulic trim

This may sound stupid, but here goes:
I have a 2006 Yamaha 225HPDI, each fishing trip, when installing my "motor toter", i always trim my posts all the way down. Last trip out, a fellow fishing buddy said that wasn't necessary, that all is needed is to put pressure on transom saver.........which is correct?

    Re: hydraulic trim (chatece)

i dont know much some one will answer correctly but i used to do the same thing until i saw an engine were the motor toter broke crossing the train tracks and the foot hit the ground so i dont do this anymore the pins may catch the motor if the toter broke , just take the preasure off

i trim mine down against the transom saver until it touches, and then bump it down a little at a time until there is no more movement. i stop there.
